Maxine J. Urich, 87, of Cottage Grove, MN passed away on August 17, 2021. Maxine was born on June 8, 1934 in Miller, IA to Archie and Laura Beal. After graduating Garner High School, she married Louis G. Urich, Jr. Maxine and Lou farmed in Duncan, IA for 14 years and raised three children. Maxine and her family moved to Omaha, NE in 1970, then to Cottage Grove, MN in 1974. Maxine enjoyed music, participating in school bands and choirs as well as membership in the St. Rita’s Catholic Church choir for over 30 years. She worked in several administrative support and customer service positions including two real estate offices and a glass repair shop. Maxine enjoyed her family, gardening, flowers, annual fishing trips and traveling.

She is survived by her husband Louis of 68 years, daughter Lynn Urich of Cottage Grove, MN, Randy Urich (Katie) of La Crescent, MN, Mark Urich of Lindstrom, MN, grandchildren Matt, Emily, Nick (Katelyn) and Zach. She is preceded in death by parents; brother; and granddaughter.

Memorial service 4 PM with visitation beginning at 3 PM, Sunday, August 22, 2021 at Kok Funeral Home, 7676 80th St. S., Cottage Grove, MN, 55016. Graveside service 11:30 AM, Saturday, August 28, 2021 at St. John’s Catholic Cemetery, Duncan, Iowa.

In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the Church of St. Rita (Building Fund), Cottage Grove, MN.
