Maxine R. Lange (Dochniak), age 93, of St. Paul, a lifelong eastsider, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 13, 2018 at Ramsey County Care Center, one month short of her 94th birthday. She was the last of her generation in our family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil (1993); infant granddaughter, Jennifer Gray (1972); and son-in-law, Buz Kainz (1999). Also her six brothers and sisters; many in-laws; neighbors; and friends.
She is survived by her six children, Sue Kainz, Liz Gray (Gary), Bill (Cindy), Bob (Renee), Karen Dalsin, and Barb Koppes (Glenn). There are 21 grandchildren, and their spouses; 37 great grandchildren; and one-step great-great granddaughter. Many nieces and nephews.
We are especially grateful to the whole staff at Ramsey County Care Center who took such loving care of our mom during her seven years as a resident. We would also like to thank the staff of Interim Hospice for their loving care these last three weeks.
Mass of Christian Burial and visitation will take place at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, formerly St. Thomas the Apostle, 2119 Stillwater Avenue East at Nokomis, in St. Paul. Visitation on Thursday, July 19th, 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., and continues on Friday, July 20th at 9:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m., with the Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be at Fort Snelling National Cemetery at a later date.
