Matthew Bloomquist

Matthew Bloomquist, age 31 of St. Paul Park, passed away unexpectedly on October 27, 2018.

Funeral 10:30 am, Friday, Nov. 2, 2018 at Kok Funeral Home, 7676 – 80th Street S., Cottage Grove.  Visitation will be Thursday from 4-8 pm at the funeral home and also one hour prior to the service on Friday.  Interment Cottage Grove Cemetery.

Matthew Thomas Bloomquist was born in Hastings, Minnesota, to David and Dianna (Baillie) Bloomquist.  He graduated from Park High School in 2005 and has been a long time employee at the Cub Foods Bakery since then.  He met the love of his life, Stacy Nash, and the two of them were married on March 20, 2015 in St. Paul Park.  Matt made friends easily and loved to make people laugh.  Matt loved baking, cooking and had an extensive collection of music.  He was an avid collector of a variety of books, movies and game systems.

Preceded in death by his dad David, grandpa John Baillie and niece Madison Bloomquist.  He is survived by wife Stacy; his beautiful children Anthony and Ahna; mother Dianna; siblings Dan (Mandy), Mike and Nikki (Tom) LaBore; “sisters” Erin Miller and Mandy Senty; sister-in-law Melissa Nash and brother-in-law Josh Nash; grandparents Bud and Jean Bloomquist and Mary Baillie; nephews Austin, Tommy and Josh as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
