Matthew Amos

died suddenly Saturday, December 1, 2012.
born on June 25, 1990 in Powell, WY.
Matthew was loved very much and is survived by his father, Douglas Amos, grandfather, Bill Eaton, Step-grandparents, Joseph and Shirley Trost, as well as aunts, uncles, cousins, and many, friends from around the United States and Canada. Proceeded in death by his grandparents, Georgette and Harold Amos of Moscow, ID, Grandmother Sandi Eaton of Powell, WY, and his beloved cats Ludwig and Luigi.Matthew grew up in Moscow, Idaho, and moved to Minnesota with his father and brother at age 10. He grew to be an avid sports fan and followed the teams from Seattle even after moving to MN. As a senior in high school, he decided to try out for the football team, and played through the pain of an entire season of defense for Park High School in Cottage Grove. Once enrolled at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls, he switched to lacrosse, playing goalie and later midi, including a game at the Xcel Stadium.
A memorial gathering will be held on Thursday, December 6, 2012 at 7:00 – 9:00 pm, sharing time to be included, at the KOK Funeral Home, 7676 80th Street, Cottage Grove, MN 55016. Phone: 651-459-2483.Memorial preferred instead of flowers for the family to defer costs.
