Mary Ann Rassett, age 67 of Newport, died January 11, 2013 at Bethesda Hospital in St. Paul after battling numerous illnesses.
A memorial mass will be 11:00 am Thursday, January 17, 2013 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church with visitation held for one hour prior.
Mary Ann was born July 18, 1945 in Chisholm, Minnesota to her parents, Steve and Frances (Debelak) Zalec. Among the things she enjoyed the most were listening to polka music, helping people any chance that she was able and spending as much time with her family as she could. She loved to call friends and neighbors to their patio when it was "fun o'clock".
She is survived by her husband, Gary; daughter, Stephanie; son Anthony; grandson Kyle; "2nd mother", Lorraine Dunlap; brother, Steve (wife Cathy); nieces, Jennifer and Pamela; nephews, Kevin and Ryan.
