Mary Catherine Lang, 49, of Cottage Grove, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, July 22, 2007 at her home.
Mary Catherine Lang was born May 15, 1958 in Hastings, Minnesota, the daughter of James J. and Theresa A. (Teuber) Downey. She grew up on a farm in the Hastings area and graduated from Hastings High School in 1976.
She attended the College of St. Catherine. She was united in marriage to Terrence D. Lang on June 7, 1980 in Hastings. Mary had worked at the church of St. Marys and for the past eighteen years at Perkins Restaurant in Cottage Grove. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and being in the outdoors, either near mountains or the water. She always wore a smile and would lend a hand to others.
Mary is survived by her husband, Terry, her daughter Christine and her two sons; Michael A. and Jonathan R. Lang all of Cottage Grove, her parents, James and Theresa Downey of Hastings and a special family friend, Tracy Herlache of River Falls. She was preceded in death by an infant son, Mark and two infants siblings; Gerald and Agnes.
