Mary Houle

Mary Ann Houle, loving mother and grandmother, age 71 of Newport, Minnesota passed away August 17, 2007 surrounded by family. Mary was born at home in Eden Valley, Minnesota on August 13, 1936, the daughter of Polycarp and Clara Arnold. She was raised in Eden Valley, attending Eden Valley High School. On June 26, 1965, Mary Ann Arnold and Bill Houle were united in marriage in their home town. The couple moved to Roseville; eventually raising their family in Newport. Over the years, Mary worked with Fisher?s Bakery as a cake decorator while also spending time with Close Out Corner in Newport. Mary was a passionate mother, always willing to do anything and everything for her family. She enjoyed playing cards, jigsaw puzzles, reading, walking, fishing and mastering handy work around the house. Mary is preceded in death by husband, Bill; parents, Polycarp and Clara Arnold; brothers, David, Louis, Frank. She is the mother of Michele (Ken) LaMere and Diane (Mike) Schwanke. Grandma of Alyssa, Miller, Corey, Cali, Liz, Katy. Sister of Clara, Lorraine, Melvin, Donna, Jr. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
