Marlene J. Schneider

Marlene J. Schneider (nee Ramacier), age 87, of Woodbury, Minnesota, formerly of St. Paul, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 28, 2023 while surrounded by her loving family.

Marlene Joyce Schneider was born August 17, 1935 in Saint Paul, Minnesota, the daughter of John and Evelyn (Chute) Ramacier. She grew up surrounded by a large and loving extended family in Saint Paul, Minnesota and graduated from Humboldt High School in 1953, where she was a majorette in the marching band.

Marlene married Richard Schneider on June 15, 1953. First a young mother and homemaker caring for her growing family, Marlene then entered banking, culminating her career as an Officer of Maplewood State Bank.  She enjoyed bowling and playing cards, and she especially loved to be by the water and being ‘up at the lake.’  Family meant everything to her, and her grandchildren and great grandchildren brought great joy to her life. Marlene loved to surround herself with family and friends and prepare amazing Italian food for them. She made friends with everybody, bringing people together, making them feel special, and brightening every room she went into.  She was an intelligent, passionate, and loving person who gave much.

Marlene is survived by her children Steve (Marge), Lynn, Wendy (Steve), and Tim (Kelly), 9 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, her nephew Scott, many cousins, and her much beloved cats Ralphie and Rusty. Marlene is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her brother Lawrence (“Buzz”).

Celebration of Life 11 AM with visitation beginning at 10 AM, Thursday, August 3, 2023 at Kok Funeral Home, 7676 80^th St. S., Cottage Grove, MN 55016. Inurnment will follow at 2 PM at Union Cemetery, Maplewood, MN.
