Marjorie King

Marjorie A. "Marge" King 86 of Cottage Grove formerly of St. Paul, passed away peacefully on April 11, 2017. Marge was born September 11, 1930 to Elmer & Lucille (Bowes) Metzler in St. Paul, Minnesota. She grew up near West Minnehaha in St. Paul, and married William R. King on May 20, 1961 in St. Paul. They raised their family on the East side of St. Paul. Bill and Marge enjoyed spending time at the casino and really enjoyed dressing up for Halloween. Marge loved to bowl and was on numerous leagues in the St. Paul area over the years. She was a wonderful mom and homemaker. She is preceded in death by husband Bill; siblings, John, Doris, Lillian, Tom; stepson Bill Jr. Survived by sons, Jim (Melanie), Jeff (Brenda), stepdaughter Janet; grandchildren, Phillip, Alex, and numerous step grandchildren; siblings, George, Paul, Ken, Helen, Donald; many other relatives and friends. Funeral service NOON, Tuesday, April 18 at Kok Funeral Home (7676 80th St. S. Cottage Grove) with visitation starting at 11am. Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
