Marion Knudtson

Marion W. Knudtson 86 of Cottage Grove peacefully joined her Savior May 29, 2014.
She was born to Alfred & Marie (nee: Leidal) Bagley February 24, 1928 in Albert Lea, Minnesota. After graduating from Albert Lea High School Marion attended Abbott School of Nursing in Minneapolis.
Marion married David Knudtson November 19, 1950 at First Lutheran Church in Albert Lea, they spent the next several years living in Northern Iowa, Southern Minnesota, and Central Wisconsin. They were blessed with 4 children.
Marion was very active in Zion Lutheran Church in Cottage Grove, where she is a charter member. She was the organist for many years, involved in the Sunday School Program, a "befriender", sang in the choir, and served in the lunch group.
Marion will be deeply missed by her children Chuck(Barb), Carol(Dennis) Ward, Catherine Andress, Diane(Mike) Shearen; her loving grandchildren Kari Jane (Todd) Houde, Kyle (Ami) Ward, Laura Shearen, David, and Carl Andress; her great grandchildren Luke & Dylan; brother Allan (Shirley) Bagley; many other relatives and friends.
She is reunited with her husband David, and sister Jeanne.
Funeral service 11am Monday at Zion Lutheran Church (8500 Hillside Trail S., Cottage Grove) with a visitation Sunday 2-5pm at Kok Funeral Home (1201 Portland Ave. St. Paul Park) and one hour prior to service at Church. Private Burial Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
