age 81, of Cottage Grove died Wednesday morning, April 21, 2010.
Marilyn Arden Thoemke was born August 13, 1928 in Mason City, Iowa the daughter of Robert & Marvel (Wheeler) Wentworth. She was raised in Creso, Iowa and graduated from Cresco High School. In 1948 she was united in marriage with Arnold Charles Thoemke. Marilyn enjoyed crochet, embroidery, sewing, reading and bird watching.
She was preceded in death by her husband Arnold Sr., daughter Linda; four grandchildren. She is the beloved mother of Michael (Kathryn), Raymond, Arnold Jr., Elizabeth (Kenneth) Schaffer; 11 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; sister Luanne Peterson, many other relatives and friends.
Graveside Services were held at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
