Marie Kostelecky

Marie Agnes Kostelecky, age 82 of Cottage Grove, Minnesota passed peacefully surrounded by family on July 7, 2007. Marie was born on May 17, 1925 in Dunn County, North Dakota, the daughter of Frank and Agnes Sadowsky. She was raised on a farm near Dickinson, North Dakota while attending St. Peter's and Paul's Catholic School in New Hradec, North Dakota. On January 22, 1946 Marie Sadowsky and William J. Kostelecky were united in marriage at St. Peter?s and Paul?s Catholic Church; eventually moving to Cottage Grove, Minnesota where they raised their family. Marie had a passion for motherhood, while also enjoying quilting and gardening. She is preceded in death by husband, William J. and son-in-law, Craig Dickey. Survived by children, Marcelline (Mark) Miesen, Curtis J., W. Jeffrey, Janet Dickey, Julie (Jerry) Bloomquist, Teri Kostelecky (Jeff), Joanie (Guy) Pankonin, Michelle (Tony) Mencacci, Craig (Amanda) and Suzie (Eddie) Mays; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; special nieces, Patti Jo Henry and Rosanne Kostelecky; sisters, Peggy Gardner, Sally Grasser, Megs Cysewski and Willie Illich. Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday, July 11, 2007 at 10 AM at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 920 Holley Avenue, St. Paul Park, MN. Visitation 4-8 PM Tuesday at church with a Rosary Service at 7 PM, visitation also one hour prior to funeral service. Interment St. Thomas Cemetery.
