Maria Anderson

Maria Ann Anderson passed away peacefully on October 20, 2021.

Maria was a social butterfly, who loved to dance, bowl, go out to eat and go on picnics. She loved animals just as much as they loved her. Her hugs will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Maria is survived by her sisters, Linda, Gerrie, Lisa, and Alice; sister-in-law, Jovy; foster brothers, Jim Krahn, and Phillip (Karla) Krahn; foster sisters, Roseanne Krongard, and Mary (Mike) Tubbs; and many nieces and nephews.

Maria is also survived by foster parents, Ron and Cheryl Istvanovich; foster sisters, Laura (Bill) Buystedt and Sonya Williamson; foster brothers, Tony Istvanovich, Nathan (Susan) Istvanovich, and Ron Jr. (Jess) Istvanovich; and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Catherine; foster parents, Dolores and Harold Krahn; and foster brothers, Harold Krahn Jr., Paul (Marsha) Krahn, and Kenneth Krahn.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, November 4, 2021 at 11am at Guardian Angels Catholic Church (8260 4th St N, Oakdale, MN) with visitation beginning at 10am. Interment will take place immediately following Mass at the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Hope for the Journey Home.
