Mae Bussiere

May 29, 1929 — September 13, 2008

Mae LaVonne Bussiere

5/29/1929 – 9/13/2008

Preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Donald, who passed away on September 5, 2008, and two grandchildren. Survived by 7 children Steve (Diane), Lynn (Dick) Barry, Lori (Bill) Dalluhn, Tim (Sue), Don (Andrea), Greg (Nancy), Julie (Mark) Holst. 15 Grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren due in November.

They lived and raised their family in Newport. Mom supported Dad in his endeavor to own his own business by going to work at Buckbee Mears. Mom and Dad semi-retired in 1985 and started traveling during the winter months to warmer climates. They loved to travel in their motor home all over the country and finally settled down in Yuma, AZ for the last decade. They enjoyed life to the fullest and did it their way.

On Friday, Sept 12 th , our family held a memorial and celebration of life for our dad at the American Legion Post 98 in St Paul Park. Mom’s last night on earth was truly blessed as she was surrounded by so many friends and family who came to pay tribute to Dad. She spent her last hours giggling with family members and we are so grateful to everyone for making that night so special.

She missed Dad so much that she could not live any longer without him. She died peacefully in her sleep when dad called to her to dance with him into eternity. Our family is so blessed and grateful to have had our parents for so many years. They truly were the “world’s greatest parents” and a true testament to love and devotion a man and woman can have for each other. Words can’t say how much they will be missed.

Mom and Dad’s ashes will be buried together at Ft Snelling.
