Lynn R. Wersal of Cottage Grove, MN, formerly of Waite Park, MN has passed away on May 26, 2024 at the age of 68.
Lynn was born in Springfield, MN on June 8th, 1955 to Robert J. and Marlene M. Wersal. He attended elementary schools in Little Falls, Waite Park, and was a Graduate of Apollo High School Class of 1973 and Graduated from the Instrumentation program from St. Cloud Technical College June of 1975.
He married MaryLynn Hengel at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Waite Park, MN on June 6th, 1975. Lynn picked that day because "D Day" was the same day and he wouldn't forget it. :) They moved to Cottage Grove, MN in 1985 when Lynn took a position with Unisys. He later retired from Xcel Energy's Riverside Plant May of 2023.
He is survived by his Wife MaryLynn of 48 yrs (passing before 49 yrs together); His Sons Keith (Nicole Gora) Wersal, Nathan (Alfred Dad's buddy he's a CockaPoo) both of Cottage Grove MN, and Brian (Kristin) Wersal of Henderson, NV; His Granddaughters Harper and Harlow Wersal of Henderson, NV; Grandson Chase Wersal of Rosemount, MN; His Sisters Rhonda (Tom) Kaiser of Rice MN and Lori Wersal of St. Cloud, MN; Brother Kevin (Laurie) Wersal of Kingston AZ; His Sister-in-Law Patti (Richard Grbich) Hengel, Brother-in-Law David S. Hengel all of New Ulm, MN. Lynn also has 5 Nephews, 2 Great Nieces and 1 Great Nephew.
He is proceeded in Death by his Father Robert J Wersal, Mother Marlene M Wersal/Hesch; Stepfather Anthony Hesch and His In-Laws Darold (Curly) and Marlis M. Hengel.
Family will be Planning Celebration of Lynn's Life in the near future.
