Lyle Heuer

Lyle A. Heuer, 66 of Cottage Grove died unexpectedly Feb. 13, 2017. Lyle was born February 17, 1950 in St. Paul, Minnesota to Armin & Lucille (Lendt) Heuer. He grew up in the Midway neighborhood graduating from Central High School in 1968. In November of 1970 Lyle was drafted and served his county in the US Army until his discharge in August of 1972. During that time he met Carol Raphael and they married at Transfiguration Catholic Church in Maplewood on Dec. 1, 1973. For a short time they lived in West St. Paul and then settled in Cottage Grove. Lyle was an electronic technician for Seagate and retired six years ago. He enjoyed coin & stamp collecting, fishing and camping.
Survived by loving wife of 43 years Carol; sons, Michael (Jill), Thomas, Stephen (Tracy); grandsons, Ryan, Adam, Koen; sisters, Linda (Tom) Palmquist, Margie; niece Gina Palmquist; other relatives and friends. Mass of Christian Burial 11 am Friday, Feb 17 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church (920 Holley Ave. St. Paul Park) with visitation 5-7 Thursday at Kok Funeral Home (1201 Portland Ave. St. Paul Park) and one hour prior to mass at church. Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Monday, Feb. 20th at 9 am.
