Lois Walseth

Of St. Paul Park on Saturday afternoon August 25, 2012 at Woodlyn Heights Health Care Center.

Lois was born April 20, 1926 in Boone, Iowa the daughter of Charles & Leora (Leininger) Fibikar. She was raised in Iowa and graduated from Boone High School. She moved to the twin cities and worked at the VA where she met veteran Edwin Walseth. They were united in marriage on June 14, 1947 in Amory, Wisconsin. She loved garage sales, knitting, eating butter, gardening, playing cards, and crosswords. She will be remembered as a wonderful cook who made the best brownies.
Lois was preceded in death by her husband Edwin "Tom", and son Patrick.

She is survived by children Mike, Tim (Jeri), Jonathan (Valerie), Mary (Mark), Dan (Annette), Jeanne; grandchildren Tyler, Natalie, Marissa, Tom, Callie; brother Edwin (Margrete) Fibikar, sister Marilyn Hayes; brother-in-law Patrick (Joan).

Memorial Gathering 4-7 PM Wednesday at KOK FUNERAL HOME, 1201 Portland Ave. St. Paul Park (651-459-2875). Private inurnment Fort Snelling. In lieu of flowers memorials preferred to Rheumatoid Arthritis Foundation.
