Celebration of Life will be 1:00 - 5:00 PM, Saturday, October 23, 2021 at the Second Street Depot, 320 2nd St. E., Hastings, MN, 55033.
Lisa Schiller, age 54 of Cottage Grove formerly of Hastings, was an incredibly selfless mother, grandmother, and friend. She passed away peacefully, in her home, after an inspiring battle with ALS. She was surrounded by her family and friends.
Lisa was born on January 26, 1967, in Cannon Falls, Minnesota. She was the second of three children of Don and Pat Schiller. Growing up, Lisa displayed her love of life through her caring and kind nature toward all and carried that trait her entire life. Lisa is survived by her son, Darin Drobinski, and daughter, Heidi (Bilal) Ghandour. She is also survived by her parents, her brothers Tom (Liz) Schiller and Steve (Dana) Schiller, and many nieces and nephews.
Lisa enjoyed spending her time outside, arranging her flowers and listening to the peaceful sounds of one of her many garden waterfalls. Her favorite memories were the ones made up at the cabin, where she spent a week, every summer, relaxing with her children and family. She loved “girls’ nights” with her close friends. In her later years, she lived to spoil and care for her two grandchildren, Evelyn and Wyatt. Whether you were family, a friend, or a stranger, any encounter with Lisa was sure to leave a lasting impact through her infectious laugh and heart of gold.
