Linda Burbach

Linda Burbach, age 66 of Cottage Grove, passed away peacefully on May 10, 2017 at St. John's Hospital in Maplewood.

Memorial Mass will be 11 am, Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at The Church of St. Rita, 8694 – 80th Street S. Visitation will be 5-8 pm, Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at Kok Funeral Home, 7676 – 80th Street S. and also one hour prior at the church. Interment Cottage Grove Cemetery.

Linda Jean Burbach was born May 5, 1951 to Ludwig and Lorna (Pastorius) Tschida. After graduating from high school she started working for St. Paul Companies as a key punch operator. Linda met Roger Burbach and they were united in marriage on July 15, 1972. They lived in the Vadnais Heights area for a short time until moving to Cottage Grove in 1974. She continued with the St. Paul Companies where she served in technology security until her retirement after 36 years. Linda enjoyed reading, gardening and spending time helping at St. Rita's. She was very community minded and helped organize several events as well as staying active at Stone Soup and Friends In Need Food Shelf. Above all, Linda loved her family and adored her grandchildren.

Linda is survived by husband of 44 years, Roger; son Troy (Kate), daughter Mechelle (Kris) Nickolaus; grandchildren Luke, Logan, Raegan and Easton; siblings John (Cathy) Tschida, Suzie (Jerry) Whitaker and Deb (Gerard) Coons and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents Ludwig and Lorna Tschida as well as siblings Sonny, Dick, Cathy, Terry and Mike.
