Leonard Snider Jr

age 72 of St. Paul Park at St. Johns Hospital in Maplewood on Monday morning January 14, 2008 after a short battle with cancer.
Leonard was born September 29, 1935 in St. Paul. He was raised in St. Paul Park and graduated from Park High School in 1954. On august 22, 1959 he married Darlene Euerle at Community United Church of Christ in St. Paul Park. He retired from the airlines. Len was an active church member serving as a deacon, attending mens breakfasts and baking fruitcakes. He enjoyed volunteering with Meals on Wheels and visiting homebound people. Len was always willing to help others with and often helped with transportation. He never wanted others to worry about him. Len had an ability to draw people into conversation and did this even while he was receiving chemotherapy.
Len was preceded in death by his wife Darlene; parents Leonard & Cordelia; brothers Herbert, Gene and Milton.
He is the beloved dad of Stephen, Michalle (James) Furlong; adoring grandpa of Megan, Zachary Leonard; and is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Memorial Service 11 AM Thursday January 17 at COMMUNITY UNITED CHURCH OF CHRIST, 1145 Summit, St. Paul Park. Inurnment Newport Cemetery. Visitation 10-11 AM Thursday at church. Memorials to church or St. Johns Hospital.
