Leonard J. Johnson, age 96, of Cottage Grove, passed away on July 30, 2020.

He was born in Comfrey, MN on September 13, 1923. Leonard enjoyed gambling, fishing and playing Solitaire and Kings Corner.

He preceded in death by his wife, Blanche; son, Lenny, Kevin and David; brother, Lester and Herb; sister, Alice and Arlene.

Leonard is survived by his children, DeWayne, Christine, Debbie, Cheryl, Karen, Ken, Mike, Tim, Dan; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Visitation 12-3 PM, Thursday, August 6, 2020 at Kok Funeral Home, Cottage Grove, MN. Graveside service at 9 AM, Friday, August 7, 2020 at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, MN with military honors.

While maintaining social distancing guidelines, we are now able to accommodate gatherings while abiding to a 50% capacity at the facility. The use of face masks by attendees is required at indoor events, and we will continue taking the necessary steps to keep your families safe.
