Passed away with peace and dignity under the care of the Lord, loving family and the caring staff at Five Star Alternative Nursing in Woodbury. Preceded in death by her husband Edward in 1999; they enjoyed 64 challenging, but wonderful and loving years together. Leona is survived by her children Hal (Beverly) of Woodbury; Stanley (Janet) of Great falls , MT ; Thomas of Auburn, CA; Nancy Olson and Nellie Heckman of Polson, MT. Leona is also survived by 19 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Leona shall always be remembered for her abundant love and gentle kindness that she so willingly shared with all those who were privileged to know her. She found beauty and appreciation in the smallest of life’s pleasures- rain dripping off the roof or cherry trees in bloom, and in the most majestic beauty - Montana ’s big sky and glacial peaks or the Arizona desert in bloom. With all those who know her, she shared and instilled her love of family, gardening, nature, literature, music, a job well done and her faith in God. Memorial Service 11 AM Friday March 27 at St. Michael’s Lutheran Church. , 1660 West Co. Road B, Roseville , MN . Visitation 10-11 AM Friday at church.
