LaVerne H. Score, 78, formerly of Newport, passed away peacefully on Monday evening, May 21, 2007 after suffering from the effects of a stroke four years ago.
LaVerne Hugh Score was born March 9, 1929 in Dunn County, Wisconsin, the son of Severin Ingvald and Minta Elizabeth (Baker) Score. He had worked in the meat packing industry for many years in the Saint Paul area.
He was very proud to have been a volunteer fireman for the City of Newport for a number of years.
LaVerne will always be loved and missed by his surviving brother, Duane (Ruth) Score, sisters; Mary Waschek, Avis Wiltermuth, Carol (Bob) Smith and many beloved nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ingvald and Minta, brothers; Eldred & Lewis, sisters; Joyce & Lorraine
