Larrie Wright

Larrie Wright, age 76, of Newport died early Thursday morning February 3, 2011.
Larrie Glen Wright was born November 2, 1934 in Walhalla, North Dakota the son of Curtis & Mabel (Hiller) Wright. He was raised in North Dakota and Warroad. He graduated from Warroad High School in 1952. In 1960 he was united in marriage with Gloria Melberg in Bemidji. He graduated in 1963 from Bemidji State with a degree in business administration. Larrie worked for West Publishing for thirty years. He enjoyed watching, playing and coaching hockey. He enjoyed baseball. Larry will be remembered for his devotion to his family. He also enjoyed singing, buying, working on and looking at cars, hats, jogging, traveling and rollerblading.
He is the beloved husband of Gloria; loving father of Robert (Michelle), Patricia (Bob) White, Alan, Michael, Scott; grandfather of Robert, Jennifer, Anthony & Jessica White; Jessie, Jacob & Sam Wright; great grandfather of Celina & Lily; brother of Lyle (Joyce) & Alvin Wright, Verna Gunnarson.
Larrie was preceded in death by his parents, and brother Wilbur Dean.
Visitation 5-7 PM Monday and 10-11 AM Tuesday at funeral home. Funeral Service 11 AM Tuesday at KOK FUNERAL HOME, 1201 Portland Ave. St. Paul Park (651-459-2875). Interment Ft. Snelling. Memorials to Alzheimers Association or Health Partners Hospice.
