Kristal Fae Treadway

Kristal Treadway, age 68 of Cottage Grove, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, August 12, 2024.

Visitation will be from 5-8 PM on Friday, August 23rd at Kok Funeral Home 7676 80th St. S.; Cottage Grove, MN with a time of sharing at 7 PM. Memorial Service at 10 AM on Saturday, August 24th at All Saints Lutheran Church 8100 Belden Blvd.; Cottage Grove, MN with visitation one hour prior to the service from 9-10 AM. All are invited to a luncheon following service.  Interment will take place at Cottage Grove Cemetery.

Kristal, the daughter of Roger and Winnefred Nelson, was born on July 12, 1956 in Baldwin, WI. She spent her youth in Woodbury, MN and graduated from Park High School in 1974. She attended the University of Wisconsin – River Falls for Pre-Pharmacy and completed Pharmacy School at the University of Minnesota in 1980. She spent 45 years as a Pharmacist at Abbott Northwestern Hospital.

Kristal and her husband, Robert, were longtime residents of Cottage Grove, MN. Over the years, she enjoyed traveling with her parents, family, and friends both internationally and across the country. She also loved supporting her children in all their activities, including cross country, track, and swim meets. She served as a member of the SEMS Swim Club Board of Directors and East Ridge High School Swim & Dive Booster Club during their participation. In the last several years, she enjoyed participating in events as a member of the Daughters of Norway and had been serving as the Vice President. Kristal had a tender heart and provided a tremendous amount of support to her friends and family in their times of need.

Kristal was the loving wife of Robert, mother of Andrew and Rachel, daughter of Winnefred Nelson, and sister of Dan, Scott, and Dennis (Ruth) Nelson. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grand nieces, and grand nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Roger Nelson.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Daughters of Norway.
