Joyce Arlene Syring

Joyce Syring, age 83, of St. Paul Park, MN passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on January 9, 2024.

Joyce was born on June 22,1940 to parents Adolph “Pete” and Mildred (Lorenz) Marier in St. Paul Park, MN. She was united in marriage to William Syring Jr. on December 27, 1958. They had many years together raising their family as lifelong residents of St. Paul Park. She loved the outdoors, loved fishing, was an avid camper and really enjoyed their road trips out west to Glacier National Park and to visit family in Seattle and Spokane, Washington.   
 
In her spare time, Joyce enjoyed gardening with her grandchildren. She loved watching the birds that would visit her numerous birdfeeders placed throughout her backyard gardens. Family was the heart of her life. She always made time to attend her grandchildren’s activities and enjoyed hosting holidays and special celebrations. Joyce was an exceptional cook and accomplished baker with many secret recipes that we coerced from her through later years. Her Thanksgiving Stuffing is a family tradition and everyone's personal favorite!

Joyce is preceded in death by her parents; husband, William; infant brother, Raymond; in-laws William and Sophie Syring; Survived by children, William (Susan), David (Robin Bjella), Lynette (Troy) Toensing; sisters Shirley MacKenzie and Dorothy Marier; grandchildren, Londyn Toensing, Nicholas Toensing, Jacob (Nicole) Toensing; precious great grandchildren, Natalie Toensing-Pearson and Magnolia Gladney and many nieces, nephews and in-laws.
