Joseph Shepard
August 16, 1922 — March 12, 2015
Joseph W. Shepard passed away peacefully at the age of 92, March 12, 2015.
Preceded by parents Joseph and Margaret; wife Elfreda; brother Jim; son David; daughter-in-law Barbie; and grandson Ben.
Survived by son Mark (Debra); daughters, Meg De Borhegyi (Steve), Janet Good (John); many grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.
Joe was a Seabee in the South Pacific Theater during WWII and returned to become a chemist, rising to Divisional Vice President with 3M. His accomplishments and contributions during his long career at 3M are well known. Travelling the world was a lifelong passion he shared with his wife and family. He was continually expanding and sharing his knowledge of science and the world with all of us. He will be deeply missed.
Private interment at the National Cemetery in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
