Passed away Sunday, April 22, 2012. Preceded in death by his daughter, Terry Ann. Survived by his wife, Joylyn "Joy"; daughter, Debra; sons, John, David and Steven (Virginia); 5 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. He was a WWII veteran, he served in the U.S. Navy and was a survivor of the USS Morrison DD-560. He was a Purple Heart recipient. Memorial service will be held Wednesday, April 25 at 10:30 am at St. Mary's Episcopal Church, 8435 St. Croix Trail, Hastings with burial to follow at 2pm at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 24 from 4-8 pm at Kok Funeral Home, 7676 80th St., Cottage Grove. In lieu of flowers donations preferred to St. Mary's Episcopal Church Basswood Grove or Carpenter Nature Center.
