John Rivers

John A. Rivers, age 80, of Cottage Grove, passed away peacefully on September 19, 2012. Preceded in death by parents, and sister, Virginia. Survived by wife, Dora; three daughters, Roxanne (John) Muller, Dawne Wiegel, and Christine; grandchildren, Nicole (Tim), Marcus (Krista), Rachel, Joseph, and Karissa (Nick); two great grandchildren, Allison and Wyatt; brother, Lloyd (Billie), and sister, Lois Erwin; and other extended family and friends. He was a firefighter for MAC for over 30 years and retired as a captain. Memorial Service 11 AM, Saturday, September 29, 2012 at KOK FUNERAL HOME, 7676 80th Street S., Cottage Grove. Visitation will be half hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
