John Penning Jr

John C. Penning Jr., age 91, of St. Paul Park passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 24, 2017.

Preceded in death by parents, John Sr. and Caroline (nee Peterson); sister, Elaine Dingle; and brothers, Russell and William. Survived by wife of 59 years, Lorraine (nee Robinson); son, Tom; grandson, Christopher; great granddaughter, Giovanna; and many nieces and nephews.

John graduated from St. Paul Park High School in 1944 and shortly after joined the US Navy proudly serving his country in WWII. He worked 40+ years at Hamm’s Brewery.

Visitation 9:30-11 AM with Memorial Service beginning at 11 AM, Thursday, September 28, 2017 at Kok Funeral Home, 7676 80th St. S., Cottage Grove, MN, 55016. Interment at Cottage Grove Cemetery at a later date.
