John Miller

August 24, 1985 — November 26, 2017

John Paul Miller, 32, died peacefully on November 26th, 2017 in his home in Woodbury, MN.

He will be deeply missed by his wife, Jenifer Hedahl Miller, their son Benjamin, his parents Michael and Patricia Miller, grandparents Robert and Anne Miller, siblings Catherine (Thomas) Rongitsch, identical twin brother James (Shelby), brother Matthew (Lindsay), and sister Krista; the Hedahl family (William, Joni, Jesse (fiancé Keenan); numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins from the Miller and Klug families. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Edward and Catherine Klug, and uncle Edward Klug.

John was born on August 24th, 1985 in Edina, MN. and lived for a time in Minneapolis, St. Paul Park, St. Paul, and Woodbury. He graduated from Woodbury High School in 2004 and attended Inver Hills Community College.

John met his wife Jenifer in 2009 and she became the love of his life, his driving force, and his loyal and faithful companion. They were married on August 17th, 2013 in Duluth and welcomed their son Benjamin on July 1st, 2015. Benjamin became the light of his daddy’s life and John was excited to see his boy grow up. The family loved to take bike rides and hikes and they found happiness in the beauty of Minnesota’s north shore.

John loved spending time with his cousins, especially early in life at the annual Miller week at Sibley State Park, and later with his Klug cousins in Voyager Village. He had many wonderful friends, some who became family to him. Jen and John loved entertaining during their years at the Northern Warehouse and Schmidt Artist Lofts and John’s wonderful sense of humor and infectious laugh will be a warm memory for those who loved him.

John was deeply spiritual and clung to his love of God for strength. He had an abundant and rich interior life as represented by many journals that chronicled his walk with God. He had recently returned to his Catholic faith and his sole desire was to be a man of God, a good husband to his wife, and father to his son.

John was a talented artist and craftsman and his works reflected his love for God, family, nature, and his Irish heritage. Many of his designs are displayed on the bodies of friends and family, now as lifelong memories of a wonderful man who was loved deeply by those who knew him. We will miss you dear brother.
