at his home at Norris Square Senior Living. He was born on September 11, 1923 in Cumberland, WI to Carl & Violetta (Lundstrom) Markgren. During WWII he served with the 1881st Engineer Aviation Battalion in the South Pacific. IBM employee for 37 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Earl & Paul; and sister Athlee Lindberg; daughter-in-law Shari. Survived by wife Shirley; son Ted; grandchildren Jon, Amy (John) Zuniga, Heidi (Kyle) Backer; great-grandchildren Marie & Ashley Markgren, Taylor & Emily Zuniga, Shilo & Rivers Backer; brother George; sisters Marian Erickson and Grace Jacobson. Funeral Saturday Jan. 26 at ALL SAINTS LUTHERAN CHURCH, 8100 Belden Blvd, Cottage Grove at 11 AM. Reviewal two hours before the service at church. Interment Monday Jan. 28. At Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Spooner. Memorials preferred.
