A wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and brother.
John was born March 8, 1942 in St. Paul the son of Alexander & Myrtle (Williamson) Illi. John graduated from Harding High in 1960, served in the Marine Corps, and worked at American Hoist and MTS Systems as an engineer. He was united in marriage with Linda Mosner on January 18, 1964 in St. Paul. He was an avid fisherman and furniture craftsman.
Preceded in death by daughter, Michelle; parents Myrtle & Alexander Illi, and niece, Heidi Zosel.
He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Linda; children Greg (Aishia) Illi, Sandra Jendro and Julie (Eric Phillips) Illi; grandchildren Zachary, Ramsey, and Kennedy Jendro; brothers Marshall Illi, Warren (JoAnn) Illi; sister Evonne (Charles) Zosel; nieces and nephews.
A celebration of John's Life will be held at 11 AM Wednesday 11/7/12 at ALL SAINTS LUTHERAN CHURCH, 8100 Belden Blvd, Cottage Grove. Visitation will be one hour prior to service at the church, interment at Cottage Grove Cemetery.
