Joanne Moore-Dalsen

Joanne M. Moore-Dalsen, 70 of Newport, passed away on Tuesday, March 18, 2008, at Regions Hospital in Saint Paul after a short illness.
Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 20, 2008 at the Fairview Cemetery in Oakland, Minnesota, with the Reverend Dwight Netzer, officiating. The Kok Funeral Home of Cottage Grove was in charge of the arrangements.
Joanne Moore-Dalsen was born June 9, 1937 in Albert Lea, Minnesota, the daughter of Boyd A. and Lavina (Jasperson) Barrett. She grew up and was educated in Albert Lea and in 1956 she joined the United States Air Force, where she served for ten years. She was united in marriage to Jessie Moore in 1965, the couple made their home in Newport and she was employed by the Air National Guard in Minneapolis. Following Jessie?s death in 1981, she married Donald Dalsen in 1986 and the couple made their home in Lake Elmo. He died in 2004 and she returned to Newport to make her home. She retired after 30 plus years with the Air National Guard in 1994. She enjoyed playing cards, watching sports and traveling.
Joanne is survived by her daughter, Sandra Moore of Newport, her sisters; Rosemary Johanson of Greeley, Colorado, Susan Barrett of Kennewick, Washington.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Jessie Moore and Donald Dalsen, also her beloved, Tawni.
