JoAnn Binkley Johnson, 60, died on July 1, 2008 in Woodbury, MN at Woodwinds Hospital after a short illness. She was born on September 22, 1947 in St. Paul, MN to Robert and Catherine Binkley.




JoAnn, a loving wife, mother and grandmother, achieved a 4.0 grade point average with an Associates degree in Psychology from Inver Hills Community College. She used her skills to help people in need for over 25 years while working for Dakota County CDA before retiring in 2006. Some of JoAnn’s favorite activities were reading, bird watching, tending to her flowers, enjoying her dogs, having lively conversations and of course, practical jokes!





She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Jimmy Miller.




Survivors include her husband, Greg Johnson of the home, daughter Susan Nettle and her husband John, son Brian Stordahl and his wife Oralia, step-daughter Jenny Blatz her husband Matt, step-son Nathan Johnson, and grandchildren Catherine Nettle, Carson Nettle, Daniel Stordahl, Andrea Stordahl, Samantha Blatz, Timothy Blatz, and Thomas Blatz. Other surviving family: brother Leo Miller and his wife Mary, brother Robert Binkley, Jr. and his wife Debbie, and their children Steve Miller, Kevin Miller, Julie LeMoine, Mara Wyttenbach, Mandy Miller, Illya Haynes, Len Miller, Lad Miller, Robin Miller and Marcee Binkley.   Finally, her much loved dogs Lucy and Georgie.




Visitation with family and friends will be on Sunday, July 6, 2008 at 10 am at Kok Funeral Home in Cottage Grove, MN.




Memorial Service will follow the visitation at 11 am at Kok Funeral Home.




Burial will take place on Monday, July 7, 2008 at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
