Joan Elaine was born July 10, 1943 in Willmar the daughter of Henry & Inez (Larson) Eddy. She graduated from Willmar High School in 1961 and Macalester College in 1965. On January 28, 1967 she was united in marriage to John Allen Herman at First Presbyterian Church in Willmar. Joan worked for more than 35 year as a medical technologist for United Hospital. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, taking trips to the cabin and collecting cookbooks.
Joan was preceded in death by husband John, father Henry, brother Bruce.
Joan is will be remembered as a loving mother of Sarah (Robert) Berkowitz of Lake Elmo, Andrew (Chasta) of Germany; proud nana of Evan, Garrett, Tyler, Devon, Araya, Braden; daughter of Inez Eddy of Willmar; sister of Robert (Peggy) Eddy of Litchfield, Janet Eddy of Hopkins, Jeanine (Michael) Ronning of Maple Grove ; many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Funeral Service 11 AM Saturday at First United Methodist Church, 140 N. 6th Ave, So. St. Paul. Interment Newport Cemetery. Visitation 4-8 PM Friday at KOK FUNERAL HOME, 7676 80TH St. S. Cottage Grove (651-459-2875) and 10-11 AM Saturday at church. Memorials to United Hospital Fund.
