Jennifer DeKarske

Jennifer Lynn DeKarske, 31 of Saint Paul, passed away unexpectedly at her home in Saint Paul on Saturday, December 19, 2009.





A memorial gathering will be held from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 23, 2009 with a time of sharing at 7:00 p.m. at Kok Funeral Home in St. Paul Park.





Jennifer Lynn DeKarske was born March 16, 1978 in Saint Paul, the daughter of Scott W. and Kathleen R. (Anderson) DeKarske. She grew up in St. Paul Park and graduated from Park High School in 1996 as Vice-President of her class. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Hamline University. She continued her education graduating from the University of Minnesota Law School. Following graduation from the University she was employed as the Minnesota Assistant Attorney General. In 2007 she joined the Larson-King Law Firm in Saint Paul, where she was currently employed.


Jennifer enjoyed her work, she loved her family and friends, enjoyed traveling, dancing and watching her brother and sister perform with their band, The Cold Open.





Jennifer is survived by her parents, Scott & Kathleen DeKarske of St. Paul Park, her brother, Luke W. of Minneapolis & sister, Susan M. DeKarske of St. Paul Park, her grandmothers; Janet DeKarske of St. Paul Park & Beverly (Herman) Nelson of Rutledge. She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Clarence DeKarske & Theodore Anderson.
