Jeanette “Jan” Zack, died peacefully on November 12, 2020 at the age of 81
Jan was born on April 15, 1939 in Duluth MN to Vern and Elizabeth Peterson. She graduated from Morgan Park High School in 1957. On September 26, 1959 she married the love of her life Arnold Zack. The couple then moved from Duluth down to the Twin Cities. In August of 1960 they welcomed their son Mark. Two years later in November 1962 they completed their family when they welcomed their daughter Jane. Jan and Arnie lived most of their lives in their home in White Bear Lake MN.
Jan spent most of her adult life being a mother and homemaker. After her own children were grown she began caring for her four granddaughters. Later in life she worked at Taymark in White Bear Lake MN for 5 years. Jan loved shopping, cooking, baking, traveling all over the country, spending time with her family, and probably her favorite job was being the best Gigi to her 9 beautiful great-grandchildren. Jan will be greatly missed by all that loved her.
Jan is survived by her children; Mark (Shari) Zack of Fort Worth TX and Jane (Artie) Neumeister of Cottage Grove MN. Granddaughters; Noelle (Troy) Gross of Cottage Grove MN, Nikki (Jerry) Nwobodo of Minneapolis MN, Mindi (Marcus) Gibbs of Forest Lake MN, and Kristina (Alex) Killman of Lexington SC. Great-grandchildren; Elizabeth, Brooke, McKenna, Hunter, Cohen, Mark-Jacob, Benjamin, Liam, Jiani, and baby Killman. She is preceded in death by her husband of 57 years Arnie, parents Vern and Elizabeth Peterson, and brother Ron Peterson.
Private family services are planned including a burial next to her beloved husband Arnie at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.
