Jean McPherson

Jean Marie McPherson (Amondson), 69, of Cottage Grove went to be with the Lord after a courageous battle with kidney cancer on Friday, October 25th, 2019.

She is preceded in death by parents, Delwin and Marjorie Amondson; and brothers Neville and John Amondson.

She is survived by sister, Shelly Viellieux (Amondson) of Bismarck, ND and brother, David Amondson of Baldwin, WI; sons, Lance McPherson of Bozeman, MT and Chandler (Michelle) McPherson of Farmington, MN; daughters, Marcella Johnson of Coos Bay, Oregon, Rita (Jerry) Lingen of Stanley, WI, Deirdre (Mark) Wolf of St. Stephen, MN, and Sloane McPherson of Blaine, MN and 9 grandchildren.

Jean was a long time member of the Rose and Agricultural societies. She was a Master Gardener and served 30 years as the Superintendent of the Needlework Department at the Washington County Fair. Her passion was oil painting, crocheting, bible study and spending time with her family and grandchildren. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, aunt, sister and best friend.

Visitation will be open to the public, family and friends on Friday, November 8th at 9:00 AM at Kok Funeral Home in Cottage Grove with a Memorial Service at 10:00 AM and a luncheon to follow.

Interment will be later in the day at East Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Amery, WI.
