Jay went to be with his Dad, Mom, & Ellen on Monday Oct. 13. He was called unexpectedly, but the love we have for him will keep our family strong. He is survived by his wife, Peggy; his two kids, Austin and Shelby; and the three family pets; his siblings Steve, Chris (Mary), Alan (Judy) and Janice (Al) Running as well as many family and friends. Jay had a passion in racing his ’69 Dodge Dart in the ¼ mile racing at Rock Falls, NHRA drag racing, working on his ’69 Dodge Dart, riding his ATV and snowmobile, boating and driving the truck of his ‘dreams’. But his first real love was his kids and family, no one could ask for a better father, husband, brother or friend. He was patient, loving, caring, funny and had a heart-of-gold. He would help anyone in need and was very thankful for his many blessings. Please remember Jay wearing a huge, warm smile and offering a sincere ‘hello.’ Jay was truly one-of-a-kind and we will miss him greatly. WE LOVE YOU! – Your Family
