Jay Oldenburg, Beloved Husband and Father, age 29, died on Tuesday evening, March 27, 2007.
Jay was born on September 28, 1977 in St. Paul, Minnesota, to Lloyl Ulferts. He graduated from Simley High School while also beginning his employment with Total Lawn Care. On August 23, 2003, Jay was united in marriage to Kathleen Weber at Zion Lutheran Church in Cottage Grove. The couple made their home in Woodbury were they began their family. Jay was a committed father, loving husband and enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing.
Jay is survived by his wife, Katie of Woodbury, his daughter, Anna, three brothers, Nathan of Inver Grove Heights, Darin (Shelly) of Inver Grove Heights, Danny Oldenburg of Prior Lake, his sister, Alisa Oldenburg of Minneapolis; nieces and nephews, Jesse, Maria, Corey, Brianna, Trevor, Quentin. Also survived by parents-in-laws, Eldon (Kathy) Weber of Cottage Grove; sisters-in-law, Jennifer and Michelle of Cottage Grove. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lloyl Uldenburg.

Funeral Service was held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 31, 2007, at the Zion Lutheran Church, Cottage Grove, with the Reverend Lynne Nelson officating. Visitation was from 4:30 to 7:00 p.m. Friday at the church. Memorials may be made to the Anna Oldenburg Education Fund. Arrangements were handled by Kok Funeral Home Cottage Grove. www.kokfuneral.com
