Janice Miskowiec

Janice Miskowiec, age 60 of Cottage Grove, passed away December 5, 2021.

Funeral service will be 6:00 pm, Friday, December 10, 2021 at All Saint’s Lutheran Church, 8100 Belden Blvd S., Cottage Grove with visitation starting at 4:00 pm until the time of service.

Janice Rose Miskowiec was born September 20, 1961 in St. Paul, Minnesota to Lawrence and Donna (Elling) Wood.  She graduated from South St. Paul High School in 1979 and started working for the State of Minnesota as a data entry operator.  Janice was married and blessed with two daughters, who she adored.  She enjoyed fishing, camping, spending time on the lake at the cabin, singing, dancing and watching football.  Janice was employed at US Bank for over 35 years where she served in various positions and most recently was in the Global Currencies Trading department.  It was at the bank that she met Peter Miskowiec and they were united in marriage on October 27, 2012.  Janice enjoyed camping with Pete and also perfected a few secret recipes which she appropriately called her “Red Hotdish” and her “White Hotdish”.  Janice loved being a grandma to her beloved grandchildren and spending time with her family and friends.  She enjoyed celebrating birthdays and spending as much time with them as she could.  She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Janice is preceded in death by her father Lawrence; brother Allan Wood and infant sister Pamela Wood.  She is survived by her husband Peter; daughters Samantha (Bryan Bodsberg) Heldt and Christine (Christopher) Keim; grandchildren Jacob Nagle, Hannah and Haylie Bodsberg, Carter, Deacon and Maximus Keim; mother Donna Wood; siblings Scott (Lisa) Wood and Linda (Tom) Schabacker as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
