Janice Steinmetz Lebeis, of Cottage Grove died March 31, 2014 after a 11 year battle with breast cancer.
She was born September 19, 1947 in Chippewa Falls the daughter of Gerald and Margaret Steinmetz.
On September 9, 1967 she married Edward Lebeis at St. Peter's in Tilden.
Jan graduated in 1965 from Chi Hi.
She is survived by son Steven (Brenda) Lebeis; parents Gerald and Margaret Steinmetz, sisters Lois (Larry) Siverling, Sue (Scott) Gascoigne, brothers Ron (Cathy) Steinmetz, Tom and Vicky Steinmetz, brothers-in-law John Lebeis, Dennis (Brenda) Carlson, Robert Mueller, sister-in-law Janet Lebeis, grandchildren Ashley (Johny) Veesenmeyer, Katie, and Stephanie, great-grandsons Vance and Landon, many nieces, nephews and other family and friends; special companion Dennis Keetley who supported Jan through her end of life journey.
She was preceded in death by her husband Edward, brother-in-law Pat Lebeis, sisters-in-law Kathleen Mueller and Judie Lebeis.
Special thank you to all, from birth to death who made this journey so great. I really enjoyed it all. She didn't have a creative bone in her body, but loved to iron and clean, how strange is that?
No service per Jan's request and private family interment at a later date.
