She graduated from Hastings High School in 1944 and moved to Washington DC to serve in the civilian Navy Department during WWII. Janet moved back to Minnesota where she met Albert Waldbillig and they were later married on August 30, 1947 in Hastings. Janet had a great outlook on life and generously looked for opportunities to help others even into her final days. Her life was devoted to caring for her children and loved her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews deeply.
