Janet Hansen

May 5, 1959 — March 27, 2008

Janet Gay (Bostrom) Hansen, 48 of Woodbury, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on March 27, 2008 at Fairview Hospital, Minneapolis, Minnesota after a three year battle with MDS that included an adult stem cell transplant in November 2006.

Born May 5, 1959 to Martin and Shirley Bostrom. Graduate of Woodbury High School ?77, completed a two year program in Radiologic Technology at Abbott-Northwestern Hospital, worked as an x-ray technician for seven years before leaving the workforce to raise her two daughters. Married to Eric Hansen for 27 years, she was a wise and loving wife and mother who loved to smile and spend time with the people she cared about. She taught public school children about God through the Release Time program. She was a Board member for the Berean League (now called Minnesota Family Council). She was active in the Republican Party for over 20 years with her husband. Because she had a heart for unborn children, she went back to school to learn how to do ultrasounds and became a volunteer prenatal ultrasound technician for New Life Family Services. She developed an interest in the Jewish roots of her Christian faith and developed a presentation on the Wedding Feast of the Lamb that she presented to many groups of women. She was very involved in New Life Church including volunteering in the nursery,

being a greeter, leading Bible studies for various groups of women and leading home study groups with her husband to strengthen marriages and help parents learn how to raise morally responsible children.

Survived by husband Eric Hansen; daughters Lindsey and

Jessie Hansen; parents Martin and Shirley Bostrom; siblings Barry (Carole) Bostrom, Bonnie (Jim) Horner and Eric (Teddi) Bostrom; father-in-law Donald Hansen; sister-in-law Robyn (Will) Lindberg.
