Jane Nelson

Jane M. Nelson (Korsrud)age 62, of Cottage Grove,
graduated to Heaven on October 3, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. Jane was born December 16, 1953 to Walter and Helen (Anderson) Korsrud in Pipestone, Minnesota. She grew up in Burnsville, graduating from high school in 1972. Jane attended Luther College in Decorah, Iowa and there she met and married Jeff Nelson. She graduated college in 1976 and spent the next several years living in Iowa City while Jeff attended medical school. In 1982, they settled in Cottage Grove, Minnesota and raised their three children. Jane enjoyed traveling, photography, shopping, and volunteering at St. Luke Lutheran Church. Her greatest accomplishment was being a mom and grandma; she cherished her family. She will be deeply missed by her loving husband of 41 years, Jeff; children, Chris (Julie), Tom (Darcy), and Sarah (Jacob) Danner; grandchildren, Ruby Jane and Benjamin Walter; parents, Walter and Helen; sibling, Sandra (Lou) Behensky and David; many other relatives and friends. Memorial service 1pm Thursday, October 6 at St. Luke Lutheran Church (7000 Hinton Ave. S. Cottage Grove) with visitation 4-8 Wednesday, October 5 at Kok Funeral Home (7676 80th St. S.) and 1 hour prior to service at church. Interment Cottage Grove Cemetery.
