James Zins

A lifetime boater, senior pro bowler and pro shop owner, James W. Zins, age 81 of Cottage Grove, passed away suddenly on April 15, 2018.

Funeral service will be 6:30 pm, Friday, May 4, 2018 at Kok Funeral Home, 7676 – 80th Street S, Cottage Grove with visitation starting at 4:00 pm until the time of service.  Private interment will be in the Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.

He is preceded in death by his parents William and Evelyn; brothers Joe, David and Don.  Jim is survived by his fiancé Diane Carlson and her children, Dan (Laura), Kristi, Mike (Tom), Patti (Joe) and their four children. Also surviving is Jim’s children, Sherry (Greg) Wilwert, James (Amee) Zins, Scott (Jean) Zins, Kimberly (Mike Amy) Rohweder, Tracy (Teri Bauer) Zins and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brothers Dick, Bob (Kathe) and Steve (Linda) as well as numerous extended family.
