James Tjernagel

James S. Tjernagel, age 67, of Cottage Grove, passed away on October 12, 2012. Preceded in death by parents. Survived by wife, Joan; children, Jeffrey (Amy), Jody (Nathan) Bitter, Jonathan (Kelsi), Julie, and Joelle (Nick) Price; 14 grandchildren; brothers, Gerald (Gwen), John (Judy), and other extended family and friends. Jim was a devoted servant of the Lord. Visitation 4-8 p.m., Sunday, October 14, 2012, at Kok Funeral Home, 7676 80th St. S., Cottage Grove. Funeral Service 11 a.m., Monday, October 15, 2012, at St. Andrew's Lutheran Church, 1000 Portland Ave., St. Paul Park with visitation one hour prior at the church. Interment at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Nicollet, MN. Memorials preferred to St. Andrew's Lutheran Church or Martin Luther College.
