James Domeier

James "Jim" A. Domeier 65, of Cottage Grove passed peacefully at home on May 5, 2017. Jim was born on October 1, 1951 to Alfred & Frances (Jenner) Domeier in St. Paul, Minnesota. He grew up in Inver Grove Heights and attended Simley High School. Jim married Gretchen Cunniff on March 19, 1989 and they bought their home in Cottage Grove in 1991 and raised their family. While his children were growing up Jim was active in the Cottage Grove Athletic Association, and has always volunteered and been active in the Cottage Grove community. Jim enjoyed hunting, wildlife and spending time with his family. Survived by loving wife of 28 years Gretchen; beloved children, Tamala, Theresa (Steve), Christina, Jim (Emily), and Jason; grandchildren, Kenen, Kayla, Eraceli, Nicholas; great grandson, Kaden; siblings, Victor, Mary (Randy), Barbie, and Alfred (Debbra); many nieces, nephews, relatives, friends, and his royalty families that were precious to him. Preceded in death by parents, Alfred & Frances; sisters, Shirley & Dorothy. Funeral service 11am Thursday, May 11 at Crossroads Church (5900 Woodbury Dr. Woodbury) with visitation starting at 9am. In lieu of flowers memorials preferred.
