James Dahl

James Dahl, age 73, of Cottage Grove, died peacefully Saturday evening April 20, 2013 at Augustana Home in Hastings.

James LeRoy Dahl was born September 2, 1939 in Fergus Falls, Minnesota the son of Joseph & Lillian (Halvorsen) Dahl. He was raised in Battle Lake and graduated from Battle Lake High School in 1957. James was united in marriage with RoseMarie Sparks on March 16, 1962. He loved spending time with family and friends. He enjoyed fishing, puzzles and watching t.v.

James is the beloved husband of RoseMarie; loving father of Dawn, Keven, Wanda (fiancée Brian Hoffman), Dean (Shannon), Ed (Shannon Fisher), James Jr. (Gabrielle Skarda), Paula (Leon Fortson), Lynn (Denny) Lundblad, Crystal (Kyle Leyde); grandfather of David Siegert, Randy Siegert, Tony Dahl, Michael Dahl, RoseMarie Ruiz, Ella Davis, Rochelle Dahl, Danielle Lundblad, Jenelle Lundblad, Tyler Dahl, Trever Leyde, Collin Leyde, Katlin Leyde, Kailey Leyde, Alex Cicchetto, Rachael Jesme, Rissa Williams, Brandon Williams, great-grandchildren Bennett Siegert, Baylynn Lluveres; brother Donald; nieces & nephews.

He was preceded in death by son Steven, parents Joe & Lillian.


Visitation 4-8 PM Wednesday at KOK FUNERAL HOME, 1201 Portland Ave, St. Paul Park and 10-11 AM Thursday at church. Funeral service 11 AM Thursday at Discovery Church, 828 Portland Ave. St. Paul Park. Interment Skibvedt Cemetery, Battle Lake.
